May 2019 Annual Parish Meeting

Draft Minutes of Annual Parish Meeting Held at 7pm on 09/05/2019 at Little Bytham Village Hall

Present: Mrs S Fraser (Chair), Mrs E Inskip (Clerk), Mr P Inskip, Mr G Lohmann-Bond, Mr J Sharp,

No members of the public were present.

Apologies: Mrs S Mcfarland, Mr S Smith, County Councillor Mr B Adams, District Councillor Mr C Benn

Chairs Welcome: Cllr Fraser welcomed the councillors who were re-elected due to the uncontested election in Little Bytham. Cllr Fraser also gave a note of thanks to Mr C Tye who did not stand to be re-elected. Mr Tye had been a Cllr for 8 plus years and due to work commitments felt that he could not give his time & commitment going forward. His help and achievements over the years has been greatly appreciated.

Achievements this year by the Parish Council: Cllr Fraser discussed the following achievements:

• Noticeboard

• Big clean

• Speed signs & stickers ordered

• Continued pushing to get speed indicator devices in the village

• Winter self-help plan in place and extra Grit bin obtained

• Emergency cascade plan in place

• Preparatory work for local plan

• Anglian Water liaised with

• Usage of fix my street app to get potholes fixed quicker

• All planning thoroughly looked into

• Dog bins investigated

• Website updated regularly with agendas, minutes, finances and all useful information for the village

• Wreath for war memorial purchased

• Various meetings attended on behalf of the village e.g. police & crime, neighbourhood collaborations, elections etc

• Contributions given to:

▪ Village Hall upkeep

▪ Village Children’s party

▪ Glenside

▪ Spinney

▪ Church garden maintenance

As no members of the public were present the Annual General Meeting was proceeded straight into.
