Draft Minutes of the Annual  Meeting of Lt Bytham PC Meeting 8th May 2025 8.30pm in the Village Hall

  1. Appointment of Chair for 2025-26.

Cllr Hodgson offered to step down as Chair, the Parish Councillors present asked her to continue in post. Cllr Hodgson accepted.

  1. Apologies for Absence.

Apologies were received from Cllr Smith, Cllr Hoyles and Clerk Chris Hatch

  1. To receive declarations of interest in accordance with the 2011 Local Government Act. – personal or prejudicial interest in any items for discussion.  None.
  2. Draft Minutes of the Parish Council meeting held on Thursday 6th March 2025 to be approved as the Minutes.

Presented and approved unanimously.

  1. Matters arising: Cllr Smith was not present therefor the update on contacting the Department of Environment and River Authorities and their visit was unavailable. 

      Cllr Penny Robins was not present so the update on making enquiries about the owners of The Willoughby Arms was unavailable.

  1. Councillors’ and Clerk’s reports:

6.0 Financial Matters

6.1 Annual Governance Statement:

6.2 Financial report: position at bank. Having been previously circulated the accounts were approved unanimously.

7.0 Highways.

      Clerk Hatch has contacted the quarry manager re the speed of of vehicles through the village, the manager took the matter

very seriously and he agreed to speak to all drivers about reducing speed and driving carefully through Little Bytham.

8.0 Planning applications.

            8.1 S25/0757, Mr & Mrs Hodgkin, Chimneys, Creeton Road, Little Bytham, Lincolnshire, NG33 4PU,

Proposed extension to existing outbuilding to form home gym area. (Circulated to the PC,)  

9.0 Correspondence: None

10.0 Other matters for discussion.

Cllr Hodgson gave an update on the defibrillator training. Training sessions for CPR and AED (Automatic External Defibrillator) have been booked for 6th June at 7pm at Little Bytham Village Hall. This will be funded by the PC.

Cllr Hodgkin spoke about asking Rasell’s Nursery to sponsor wooden troughs for flowers at each road entrance to Little Bytham. The PC would be happy to pay for signs to be put on the troughs displaying Rasell’s name. All PCs were in agreement. Cllr Hodgson will contact Rasell’s.

At the last meeting, Clerk Hatch was asked by all PCs if he would agree to withdraw his resignation because it was felt he would be very difficult to replace. Clerk Hatch agreed to stay in post.
