Draft Minutes of Lt Bytham PC Meeting 19th February 2026 7.30pm in the Village Hall
(The meeting due to be held on the 5th of February was not Quorum so it was rescheduled for the 19th of February)
- Public Forum (15 minutes maximum) Two residents attended the public forum. One mentioned Father Edward Martin will officially become the vicar at St Medards Church at the end of March. 2026.
- Apologies for Absence. None.
- To receive declarations of interest in accordance with the 2011 Local Government Act. – personal or prejudicial interest in any items for discussion. None.
- Draft Minutes of the Parish Council meeting held on Tuesday 6th November 2025 to be approved as the Minutes. Having been previously circulated, the Minutes were approved and signed.
- 1 Matters Arising. Lt Bytham Church Grass Cutting Donation. This item was omitted from the November meeting minutes. It was agreed; the PC will make the same donation towards the cost of the church grass cutting as the previous year, £300.
- Councillors’ and Clerk’s reports:
5.1 County and District Councillors’ Reports. None.
5.2 Councillors Reports. None.
6.0 Financial Matters
6.1 Financial report: position at bank. The Clerk presented the accounts to date, these were accepted. The balance at 26/01/2026 = £3364.16.
6.2 Cheques to be signed: Lt Bytham Children’s Christmas Party £100. Clerks' salary £344.76. Glasdon Ltd, £67.68 (Dog Waste bags),
St Medards Church £300. (Grass cutting donation. Amazon £48.25, (printer ink cartridge).
6.3 2026/27 Precept. Due to the PC account balance, it was agreed the precept request be £1500 for the 26/27 year.
This will mean a 39.70% reduction for band D properties.
7.0 Highways – Nothing to report.
9.0 Planning applications. No planning application received since the previous meeting.
10.0 Correspondence – An e-mail was received from Lt Bytham Village Hall, thanking the PC for their donation towards the cost of the new hall heaters. Two emails were received from residents complaining about pollution, sewage, tankering, noise and general disturbance caused by the Anglian Water treatment works. To support residents the PC has contacted Alicia Kearns MP, who in turn has written to Anglian Water requesting a response.
